Under, my forthcoming novel, has been submitted for a publishing contract with Kindle Press.
The book is now featured on the Kindle Scout website. This is a showcase for new fiction where registered readers can nominate those books they feel are deserving of publication. Kindle Press is a digital publishing company run by Amazon which specialises in eBooks. Unlike most traditional publishers, it offers good terms to authors.
To provide a sample of each book, the first 5,000 words or so are published on Kindle Scout. So you can now read its opening chapters if you would like a taste of what Under will be like!
If you would like to nominate Under, you will need to register on the Kindle Scout website using your Amazon account. You can then nominate the book and any others you feel are deserving of publication.
As an added incentive, if Kindle Press publish a book that you nominated, you will be sent a free copy!
Under will be exclusively featured on Kindle Scout until 5th January 2018. If it receives enough nominations and is deemed suitable, Kindle Press will offer a publishing contract for the book. If this isn’t the case, then I will self-publish the eBook on all platforms. So one way or the other, Under will be available to buy and download in early 2018.
There will also be a paperback version of Under available on Amazon in the new year, regardless of who publishes the eBook. More news on that in due course!
As well as the opening chapters of the novel on Kindle Scout, you can read a prelude to Under for free right now! The short story Signal Failure is available as an eBook for the Kindle and other devices.
